Last Class
Hi everyone, It was so nice getting to know you over the last 8 weeks. Some of you I knew from previous classes but it was nice to get to know you guys a little better through this class and these blog posts. Dr. Steffes it was so nice to have you as a teacher again, I really enjoy your classes and always feel like I am left feeling like things in the teaching field are more clear when I am done.
Michelle S.- You did a great job with answering question number 5 last night. I felt like you brought up a really great point that we won't most likely be writing full on Madeline Hunter lesson plans in our teaching career but we need to make sure we still think about all of those components when we are designing our lessons for our students to help keep them engaged.
Ashley- I love that you pointed out that we have it in our control to adjust the time frame of our lessons based on our students needs. Sometimes we need to spend a little bit more time on a topic than we had originally planned and that's ok.
Michelle P- You explained the scope and sequence well, I had a hard time thinking about other than a guide we need to present the most important materials to the students. I like how you said we can break them down and adjust them as we need during the school year.
Danielle- I love how you pointed out that the purpose of the scope and sequence is to help teachers put intentional thought into our lessons. There is so much more that goes into planning lessons that will meet the needs of the students and flow well.
Amanda- It was so nice having classes with you this summer. I agree with you that we get better at scope and sequencing, lesson planning and so on the more we practice. The scope and sequence really does help us as teachers have a plan and structure which lessons need to be taught.
Again, it was so nice having you all in my blog group and I look forward to hopefully having you all in more classes. Have a great rest of your summer!!
